This is a photograph of a “forgotten” man who lives on the street. It is a moment of  respite for him, sitting on a newspaper stand with a soda in his hand. While tired and in poor health, his shadow resembled a king on a throne with all the power that implies. He was only briefly a king as shadows are fleeting, which is  regrettable.
