This series began as a tribute to women who have long been associated with the moon in alchemy, myth, literature and art.  At the same time, the series coincided with a move from the east coast to the west. As time went on, it became clear that these photographs were also about the inter-connectedness of people across the country and around the earth, as we all see the same moon. As a uniquely unifying presence in the sky, this perspective was a fitting tribute to women in the end.
