This man carrying a book bag is seen walking by a granite building whose base was darker than its façade. The bright morning light and the natural dark flecks in the granite combined to register only the darkest values in the final photograph. This man's shadow appears to have been made with spray paint. His robotic  qualities along with  the stark  black  and  white seem to warn of the consequences of commercialism.
