This relatively confined space along Washington’s C&O Canal at Key Bridge encompasses all of the photographs in this series. Water, textured cement and stone, light and dark passages, reflections and shadows are the elements these photographs share. Not surprisingly, the images that followed quickly pivoted to the abstract.
